Purpose
This tutorial explains how ICC color management helps keep brand colors predictable across OKI, Epson ColorWorks, laser, inkjet, sheet, and roll-to-roll workflows.
1. Understand the color spaces

2. Choose profiles
Source RGB
Use sRGB for most web images. Use Adobe RGB or another profile only when the artwork was created that way.
Source CMYK
Use the embedded profile when provided. If missing, assign the expected print condition before conversion.
Destination ICC
Select a profile matching the exact printer, media, quality mode, and ink or toner set.
Rendering intent
Use perceptual for photographic images, relative colorimetric for many brand and vector workflows.
3. Soft proof before output
Soft proofing shows an approximation of the printed result using the selected output profile.
- Enable soft proof for the target printer/media profile.
- Check brand colors, gradients, black text, and images.
- Use separation preview for CMYK, white, and spot plates when available.
- Print a small physical sample before a full batch.
4. Export workflows

5. Printer and media calibration
Use exact media
Gloss, matte, synthetic, kraft, clear, and textured media can change color dramatically.
Print a chart
Use a color chart or production target to compare expected values with printed output.
Create or obtain ICC
Use manufacturer profiles, RIP-generated profiles, or a measured custom profile.
Lock the profile
Attach the chosen profile to a media preset so operators do not select it manually every time.
6. Common issues
