Purpose
This tutorial explains how to export a reliable RIP production package from Label Studio Creator, inspect separations, validate white/spot behavior, and avoid costly mistakes before sending jobs to OKI, Epson, or an external RIP workflow.
1. When to use a RIP package

2. What the package should contain
- Rendered composite preview.
- CMYK plates or production raster.
- White plate when the printer/RIP supports white.
- Spot plates for named spot colors used in the document.
- Job manifest with quantity, media, printer target, resolution, and color settings.
- Preflight report with warnings and blocking errors.
- Source template reference and variable-data snapshot.
3. Separation proof checks

4. White plate behavior
Underprint
Creates white behind CMYK to improve opacity on clear, metallic, dark, or colored media.
White object
Prints selected objects using white ink/toner instead of process color.
Mask object
Uses a vector or image object as a white mask for controlled coverage.
Choke / spread
Adjusts the white plate edge to reduce halos or registration issues on real hardware.
5. Spot color behavior
Label Studio Creator can use a practical spot workflow: spot name, user-defined fallback color, and a generated spot separation. This is suitable for custom brand colors, varnish-like technical plates, or RIP workflows that need named channels.
6. Preflight before export
